High-torque heavy-duty powershift transmissions, final drives and hydraulic systems that require fluid meeting Caterpillar TO-4 performance requirements.
Product Code: 88842H
HO-CL Power Transmission SAE 50 is manufactured from Pure Hydro – Syn® Synthetic base fluids which have excellent thermal and oxidation stability, a high natural viscosity index, and a low pour point. Since it is highly stable when exposed to severe heat, it provides exceptional high temperature lubrication.
HO-CL Transmission Fluid's outstanding low temperature flow properties and natural high viscosity index provides:
- Allows use in a range of climatic conditions delivering year-round performance in heavy duty truck transmissions and excavation final drives. The low temperature fluidity permits easier shifting in extremely cold weather and less drag and gear wear during start-up assisting in reducing driver fatigue
- Reduces maintenance and operating costs
- Rapid circulation and reduced drag on gears reduces gear wear, and provides the potential for fuel economy benefits.
- Excellent thermal and oxidative stability reduces deposit formation under severe operating conditions. This keeps gears and bearings cleaner, preventing oil film disruption which can result in increased wear rates. Effective anti-rust additives protect transmission components. High oxidation stability provides extended drain intervals.
HO-CL SAE 50 Synthetic Transmission Fluid is recommended for North American and European heavy duty truck transmissions, such as those manufactured by Eaton, Road Ranger, Arvin-Meritor, Volvo & Mack. It is especially suitable where operating conditions are severe or where equipment must operate in extremely hot or cold climates.
This product is recommended for use as API-CF engine crankcase oil and is not suitable where extreme pressure gear lubricants are specified.
